At our annual Homesteading Festival, we gather seasoned homesteaders, families, farmers, craftspeople, and those city dwellers contemplating homesteading as a new way of life.

Here, they can explore food preservation, basic carpentry, woodsplitting, and all other sorts of applicable skills. Most importantly, enjoy fellowship with people who made the transition and will tell you the unvarnished truth. We offer workshops, demonstrations and honest conversation.

Pictured to the side is an tent demonstrating a DIY rocket stove made from cinderblocks. It uses just a handful of blocks, and is safe enough that a child can feed the fire. The air flows through the base and up the chimney, guiding the flames towards the top. Tips and tricks like this abound at the homesteaders fair.

The challenge isn't learning to keep bees or manage land, it's finding fellow travelers who understand why you would want to. Travel to our contacts page to sign up for information on future events.
