Hobbit Themed Builds

The highlight of our collection is the Hobbit Themed Root Cellar. Traditional techniques such as cantilever walls, fieldstone walls and joinery provide structural and integrity that speaks to generations, before and after. This is a structure built with methods that predate planned obsolescence and function that transcends whimsical novelty.

Ground Has Been Broken

With the help of contracted experts, specializing in cantilever wall design, our builds will remain standing for many years to come. Special thanks to the Verlander family and patrons for making this possible. Construction has been underway since August of 2024.

Wall Progress

The Hobbit Themed Root Cellar has a cantaliever wall to ensure the integrity of the exterior. This style of wall ensures the facade does not budge, despite the pressure exerted from the soil. Cantilever Wall dimensions are located in the gallery below.

Laying Stones

Fieldstones from the owner's property make up the retaining wall on the side of this Hobbit Root Cellar.
