Music With Mary Verlander
Hello! I, Mary Verlander, am happy to say that I am available to teach music lessons again for all of July, and the first two weeks of August this Summer!
I can teach:
- beginner piano,
- beginner ukulele,
- beginner tin whistle,
- beginner violin/fiddle,
- beginner/intermediate guitar,
- beginner/intermediate mandolin,
- and voice lessons!
I will primarily be teaching folk songs, but some classical music will be included in the piano and violin lessons, and some sacred music will be included in the voice lessons.
Lessons will be once a week or once every two weeks; we can schedule a day and time that would work best for you. Lessons will be at Fatima Farm, but I may be able to meet my student(s) elsewhere (in the Newnan area) for an extra charge of $10 or if we are able to group some lessons in the same area. 30 minute lessons will be $20 a session. If you would prefer a longer lesson, I can do an hour-long session for $40. These lessons are open for children ages 8 and up. There is not an age cap.
I intend that my students (though it may vary depending on age and learning capacity) have, by the end of several lessons, an ability to play chords and have a basic knowledge/understanding of sheet music, harmony, and rhythm.
